Care at home starts with understanding what your child needs.
Feeding tubes, oxygen, seizures or help getting through daily routines can bring a lot of questions. Nobility Home Care Services helps families explore pediatric skilled nursing and personal support through the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP).
For eligible children, approved GAPP services are funded by Georgia Medicaid at no cost to the family.
You do not need to know the name of every service before you contact us. Start with what care looks like in your home. Our nursing team can discuss your child’s needs, physician’s care plan and staffing availability.
If your child uses a feeding tube or gastrostomy tube (G-tube), ask about nursing support with prescribed feedings, tube care, medication and caregiver teaching. We review the specific tasks in your child’s care plan.
Families managing home oxygen or a tracheostomy can discuss prescribed respiratory care, monitoring and daily nursing needs. Tell us about the equipment your child uses so we can review appropriate care and qualified staffing.
If your child has epilepsy or another seizure disorder, ask about nursing observation, prescribed medication and support with the physician’s seizure care plan. We discuss the care needed at home alongside your child’s medical team.
For children who use a wheelchair or adaptive equipment, support may include positioning, transfers, bathing, dressing and other daily care. Families managing cerebral palsy, spina bifida or other conditions affecting mobility can ask which services may fit their child’s needs.
Your pediatrician or specialist helps identify the care your child needs. Nobility coordinates nursing assessment and intake information with your child’s physician as you explore GAPP services.
A useful question at your next visit is: “Could my child benefit from in-home nursing or personal support, and can your office coordinate with Nobility Home Care Services?”
You can contact us first. We will explain the next step and what information to discuss with the office.
Find pediatric offices by county and prepare for the conversation
GAPP considers Medicaid eligibility and the child’s medically necessary care needs. A diagnosis or piece of equipment alone does not decide eligibility. Our team can discuss your child’s situation and the information needed for review.
If you are searching for “GAP home care” for a child in Georgia, you may mean the Georgia Pediatric Program. Its official abbreviation is GAPP, with two Ps. Nobility can help explain pediatric nursing, personal support and the intake process.
The GAPP Family Care Option may allow an eligible family caregiver to become an agency employee providing approved personal support. Employment, in-person CPR training and supervision requirements apply. You can speak with us before arranging training.
We serve Cobb, Clayton, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton and Rockdale counties. Check our service areas and tell us your city or county so we can confirm current staffing.
